About The Project

In 2006, the District of Columbia Office of Planning (DCOP) issued the Glover Park Commercial District Analysis report. The report was commissioned to investigate the improvement of retail businesses, public, pedestrian mobility, and parking improvement strategies along Wisconsin Avenue.

The Wisconsin Avenue Upgrade/ Streetscape Project begins at the intersection of 34th Street and Wisconsin Avenue and ends at Massachusetts Avenue in Glover Park. This project is the result of several years of planning, preliminary engineering, and public outreach and input. In the approval process, the main focus centered on pedestrian safety and accessibility, vehicular traffic, and landscaping improvements.
